Anna Maria
Access at the end of the streets off of Gulf Drive and North Shore Drive. Favorite spot is Bean Point at the northernmost tip of Anna Maria Island. Bayfront Park is at the north end of the island on North Bay Blvd. Amenities at Bayfront include large picnic shelter with grills, children’s playground, and restrooms. Anna Maria City Pier is a popular spot for tourists and anglers at the end of Pine Ave.
Manatee Public Beach
Western most end of State Road 64 in Holmes Beach on Anna Maria Island. Crown jewel of county’s six public beaches. Provides shady groves of large trees, full service restaurant playground, volleyball courts, picnic tables, and restrooms. Lifeguards are on duty during park hours.
Cortez Beach
Starts at 7th Street South to 13th Street South along Gulf Drive in Bradenton Beach on Anna Maria Island. Popular spot for fishing.
Coquina Beach
Just south of Cortez Beach at the southernmost tip of Anna Maria Island. Large parking area, concession stand, playground, picnic pavilions, barbecue grills, volleyball courts and restrooms.
Greer Island
Also known as “Beer Can Island,” located on the northern tip of Longboat Key at the end of North Beach Road. Secluded and very family friendly beach with limited parking. Great place to walk along the beach and watch fishing boats and sailboats cruise through Longboat Pass.
