Although just seven miles long, once here, you will never have to leave the island to find something to do. Start your day with a hearty breakfast at a local restaurant — the only franchises on the island are Subway and Domino’s — followed by a few hours of beach time. Did you know there are over 70 beach access paths on the island? If a beach visit is not in your day’s plan, there’s always plenty of stores from which to choose where to pick up a souvenir.
Looking for something a little more active? You’ll find plenty of water-related activities, including fishing, boat tours and charters, kayaking and the latest craze, SUP, otherwise known as standup paddleboarding.
