The historic Anna Maria City Pier is a great place to take a stroll, fish (fishing is free when you purchase anything at the restaurant or bait shop!), buy some authentic jewelry or grab a great meal.
Located at the end of the 750-foot-long pier is the appropriately-named City Pier Restaurant. The waterfront restaurant is open from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 10:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday. It has an excellent lunch and dinner menu with happy hour and early bird specials Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Weather permitting, live music is available for your enjoyment starting at 6:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
Seafood lovers can sample the Crawdadcargot (lobster in a garlic butter sauce), lobster bisque, king crab legs and nutty grouper. Steamer pots, peel and eat shrimp, and popcorn shrimp baskets are available for lighter fare lunches. Not feeling fishy? City Pier Restaurant also prepares meals like classic chicken parmesan, char-grilled sirloin and grilled portabello sandwiches. There is also a children’s menu for the youngsters in the group. If you are looking for something to quench your thirst during one of Anna Maria Island’s hot days, the restaurant offers several wine choices along with domestic and a few imported beers.
All this and an incredible view of the iconic Sunshine Skyway Bridge and Tampa Bay await you at the Anna Maria City Pier Restaurant! It’s also a great place to watch an Anna Maria Island sunset!
