Located in Bradenton, Florida, approximately 10 miles from Anna Maria, is G.T. Bray Park and Recreation Center. It is Manatee County’s center hub for recreational activities and features just about everything for which an active person hopes.
The park is open from sunrise to 11:00 p.m. and is equipped with multiple soccer, baseball and softball fields; basketball, racquetball and tennis courts; and horseshoe pitching platforms. In addition, the park offers a playground, skate park and an aquatic center featuring an Olympic-size pool and divewell with 1- and 3-meter diving boards, kiddie pool, splash ground, and a 12-foot three-flume water slide. There is also a 1.25 mile multi-purpose trail, multiple pavilions available for rent throughout the park, and an amphitheater that can seat almost 100 people.
If you prefers indoors, the park includes the G.T. Bray Recreation Center that includes a fitness center with the latest in state-of-the-art equipment from strength machines to treadmills and ellipticals to upright and recumbent bicycles.
But if that isn’t enough, the park also includes the Happy Trails Canine Park so your furry friends can enjoy themselves too.
Daily guest passes and various memberships are available to use the facilities.
